About Us

Founded by Army Veteran Alan Torres, who discovered how transformative yoga can be when practiced in a setting where you feel most comfortable, this business was created to make yoga more accessible. If the commute to a traditional studio has ever felt like a barrier, you’re not alone. That’s why we bring the experience directly to you—whether it’s at your home, an office, or a nearby park.

Our mission is to make wellness fun, accessible, and personalized to your lifestyle, so you can enjoy the mental and physical benefits of yoga wherever you are.

The Meaning
Behind "O.M."

At O.M. Yoga & Training, the acronym ”O.M.” holds multiple meanings. One of which is the military term, Oscar Mike. When used as a call sign, Oscar Mike is interpreted as code for ”On the Move.”

Being that we are a mobile and veteran-owned company that promotes holistic wellness through intentional body movement, staying “On the Move” is a vital part of our mission.

Additionally, the ”O.M.” pays tribute to the roots and history of yoga. In the yogic tradition, “om” is recognized as the highest vibration and purest energy that connects all things in existence.

This word symbolizes the positive experiences and meaningful connections that we aim to cultivate as a company.

Born from Passion, Driven by Purpose

"In 2020, after facing mental health challenges following my service in the U.S. Army, I found myself at rock bottom—out of shape, lacking direction, and afraid to leave my home. Reconnecting with my yoga practice transformed my life. Yoga provided me with newfound peace and helped me embrace discomfort, giving me the space to heal both physically and mentally. This journey ultimately gave me purpose, as I realized I could combine my passions for service and yoga by sharing the practice with others.

Today, I am committed to helping others find their own paths to wellness, creating a supportive environment where everyone can experience the healing power of yoga."
